The lakers job is seemingly a no win for whoever gets hired. You have to deal with the pressure and bullshit from the media and then try to win with an aging team of egos and crazies.
If you DO win, then people wont give you credit for it as the team is talented to win and it wouldn't be "your team"

"your team"? This isn't a sim league fam, LA clearly isn't the best team in the NBA and lost in the 2nd round with the best coach in the NBA. If Brown does get them to the promise land, credit will not be an issue.
LA was solid on D last year, but FG% was 11th in the NBA, and their 3PT% was 17th. They were also 17th in FTA and 13th in assists, these numbers will surely go down with this offensively challenged coach. Not to mention Kobe will be taking more jumpers than ever with this bitch as their coach.
They should have hired Shaw, he would have surely taken similar money (4-5M is still a lot for a coach), the players wanted him, and respected him surely more than they will this idiot who can't even draw up his own offensive sets.
This just proves the LA front office isn't as good as people think, they just got lucky Memphis gave them Pau for peanuts (at the time).
