1st rounders are vastly overrated. I don't care about losing them and I don't view it as some huge investment. That's my whole point and nobody gets it, oh well.

Ive never had to deal off my next 10 firsts to win a title... Would you like a medal? you ever won a title? point is, I have to protect the integrity of the league, by dealing off all these firsts you are hurting the trade market pretty good. 4 firsts for Oden is crazy, especially considering you gave up Hilton Armstrong who ratings wise is only 1 grade worse defensively and otherwise the same. Also, as to your valuation on firsts...Id say the odds in general of a nice player in the first round is about 1 in 5 at worst. Are you telling me that you wouldnt take on 4 rookie deals to get a very nice starter, Like a Musli, or a Jimmer Fredette, or a Kemba Walker or a Lacedarius Dunn, then the lotto players, like a Barnes, or a Barton (13 to 1) etc

For starters, without your coming firsts you restrict your ability to acquire solid rotational players to maintain being a consistent playoff team, unless you continue to deal far off picks (which you seem content doing which is foolish within itself). A couple bad TC's and you have no flexibility, your hand is completely forced. A bad FA, you lose a player like Gay or BJ, your hand is forced and you have to try and patch a shitty team together and win 42 games. It is easy for you to sit here and say you don't care about firsts when your team is nice, and that is fine when referring to firsts 5 years from now. But firsts 10 years from now? So much is so uncertain between now and then for you to sit here and act like you'll never need to rebuild. Next thing you know your team is mediocre, you have no firsts for 6 years, oh shit your interest in the league is gone now? Oh well fuck I didn't care 4 years ago.

If you were going to deal Amare for 3 firsts I will give you the 3 firsts for him.

Yes I have won some titles, I've been participating in leagues for 9 years. I'm not saying that to try and convince others I'm some great GM, just answering your question.
You can't hurt a trade market with a trade if the economic balance is correct. If I've hurt the market, then the only reason why is because I've exploited the fact that 1sts are over valued.
Nice players at 1 to 5 is a pretty generous estimate, I would say.
Armstrong's production is pretty far below Oden's.

I'd rather be proactive and always do everythign I can to win now rather than worry about "ifs". If grandma had balls, she'd be grandpa.
