yah christianity is a relationship not a religion.....its not about how often or how many times u pray or what direction you face when doing something its just about you and God.

Unfortunately you can't overcome death, otherwise I'd follow your religion. That's my issue with religion. I see it as a bunch of people who don't want life to end, so there is some greater being they have to serve so their spirit lives on. There being more than 1 religion and that they all believe the other religions are wrong is interesting to me. And how religions can borrow from old religions but not be an evolution of them. Like Christianity borrowing from Paganism. why would someone want to make up christianity though. why would u want to make up a religion that is about admitting that you are a total failure.......it'd make more sense to make up a religion that is all about you and how awesome you are

Reproduce and die? You go to school and work to sustain a living in society I presume.

You go to school and work to sustain a living in society I presume. I agree, far too many times in the history of civilizations we have seen rulers associate themselves with deity to gain control or justify their control over their empire/kingdom. The ten commandments given to Moses? Seems kind of a coincidence these were given to Moses while the 12 tribes were in need of unification... I wouldn't call myself an atheist, but I would say at this stage I am agnostic...I just don't see there's enough evidence there, and I know it's supposedly built on faith. Death is scary, it is a lot less scary if we believe good deeds will yield "eternal salvation" or the such, the optimist in humans. However, there is reason to live in the absence of religion, build friendships/romances, relaxing leisure times, having fun, etc... it's all the experience of being a human in a societal structure. I let people of any religion go their on way, I'm not one of these people that's like, FUCK RELIGION. I understand why people follow it, and it makes sense, it just isn't for me to have that kind of un-pending faith in a higher being. I just don't like having a conversation with people that believe the world is what, 20,000 years old or something...
