House in Atlanta are cheaper than most areas, since in the suburbs you can get a fairly nice house for around $400,000.

I don't know, I paid 60k for mine and I'm in a nice neighborhood right on a lake. Probably could have gotten one for less in the same neighborhood. The housing marketing is a lot worse than some people in this thread are making it out to be.
