The 2021 UOSL Draft was certainly interesting. With no prospect having otherworldly ratings going into the draft, we got to see several of them explode in TC. Let's see who the winners and losers were.
Denver Nuggets
#1 - Te'Jon Lucas SF 19 6'11'' 226 B C D+ C+ B+ A
After TC: Te'Jon Lucas SF 19 6'11'' 226 B C+ C- B-- A A
Can't ask for much more. Lucas went +1 in four different categories and maintained his potential.
#21 - James Settles PF 6'10'' 255 22 B- C- D C- A- A
After TC: James Settles PF 22 6'10'' 255 B- C- D- C- A A
Settles TC may not look significant, but any time you can get an "A" rebounder as a rookie with the #21 pick, that's a definite win.
#26 - Nate Neveau PG 6'2'' 195 22 C+ C C+ B- D+ A
After TC: Nate Neveau PG 22 6'2'' 195 C+ C B B- D A
+2 handles for a point guard is always a good sign, especially for a guy selected #26
GRADE: A
Charlotte Bobcats
#2 - Vijay Blackmon SF 6'7'' 222 20 B- B C- B C A
After TC: Vijay Blackmon SF 20 6'7'' 222 B B C B C A
The biggest knock on Blackmon was his handling ratings and he overcame them in just his first TC. Still, until he improves his offensive ratings, he looks pretty run of the mill.
#20 - Matt Oestrech PG 6'2'' 178 19 C B+ B+ C C- C
After TC: Matt Oestrech PG 19 6'2'' 178 C B+ B+ C C- D
Bust.
#29 - Mark Smith PG 6'3'' 192 19 C B C+ C C- B
After TC: Mark Smith PG 19 6'3'' 192 C B C+ C C- B
Another bust
GRADE: C
Miami Heat
#3 - Sebastian Baugh PF 6'11'' 291 19 B- D+ F+ B- C+ A
AfterTC: Sebastian Baugh PF 19 6'11'' 291 B D+ F+ B C+ B
With a guy like Baugh's ratings, you need him to really explode in order for it to be a good sign. If I were the Heat, I wouldn't be thrilled.
#6 - Bismack Biyombo C 6'9'' 243 20 C D C- B+ B- A
After TC: Bismack Biyombo C 20 6'9'' 243 C+ D C- A- B A
I really like this pick. Biyombo will be a defensive presence for his entire career after seeing his incredible preseason. At #6, you can't ask for much more.
#13 - Kaj Davis SG 6'7'' 207 22 C+ B+ C- B- D B
After TC: Kaj Davis SG 22 6'7'' 207 C+ A- C- B- D- B
Jury's out on Davis. He could still end up being good.
#16 - Darpeirreontae Burt SG 6'3'' 190 21 C B B- B- C- A
After TC: Darpeirreontae Burt SG 21 6'3'' 190 C B+ C+ B C- A
Whenever you see a guy with a weird name like this, you pounce on him!
#18 - Spencer Peterson SF 6'7'' 196 22 B+ B C+ C+ C- D
After TC: Spencer Peterson SF 22 6'7'' 196 B+ B B- B- C- C
This guy was a definite steal. He may actually be the best pick that the Heat made.
Grade: B
Sacramento Kings
#4 - Joey Williams SG 6'5'' 212 22 C+ B C+ B- D+ A
After TC: Joey Williams SG 22 6'5'' 212 C+ A- B- A- D+ A
Huge stud! Only issue with him is his awful rebounding, but he could be the second coming of Alessandro Gentile if he pans out.
#9 - Ryan Solberg PF 6'10'' 258 22 B- C- C C+ B A
After TC: Ryan Solberg PF 22 6'10'' 258 B- C- C B- B+ A
Needs to improve his inside game, but nothing a few RCs can't fix. Nice looking prospect.
#14 - Evan Anderson C 7'0'' 239 22 B- C- D- B C A
After TC: Evan Anderson C 22 7'0'' 239 B- C- F+ B+ C+ A
Take what I wrote about Solberg and Anderson gets the same analysis.
GRADE: B+
Boston Celtics
#5 - Bobby Hambright SF 6'6'' 229 20 B C+ C+ C C+ A
After TC: Bobby Hambright SF 20 6'6'' 229 B+ C+ C+ C+ C+ A
Only a +2 TC, but his ratings are downright scary.
#15 - Miles Baggett PG 6'2'' 197 25 C A- B+ B D B
After TC: Miles Baggett PG 22 6'2'' 197 C A- A- B+ D+ A
+3 TC and looked awesome in preseason

#7 - Jack Popp SF 6'8'' 220 23 B- A- C- B+ C C
After TC: Jack Popp SF 23 6'8'' 220 B- A- C- B+ C B
Potential went up, but nothing else did. Not a fan of this pick.
#22 - Ezra Talbert PG 6'3'' 206 21 C C+ C+ B- C- A
After TC: Ezra Talbert PG 21 6'3'' 206 C B B B+ C- B
This pick makes up for Popp. Awesome TC for this kid. +5 TC

#8 - Clay McCullough SG 6'9'' 235 21 B+ C D C+ C A
After TC: Clay McCullough SF 21 6'9'' 235 B+ C D B- C A

#10 - Jordair Jett SG 6'6'' 206 22 B C+ C- B B- B
After TC: Jordair Jett SG 22 6'6'' 206 B C+ C- A- B- A
Air Jordair looks like he'll be a solid player. If he can improve his offensive ratings, he'll be nice. Reminds me of a raw version of Blackshear.
GRADE: B-
Minnesota Timberwolves
#11 - Reontre Lawrence PG 6'2'' 182 23 C+ C+ A- A- C- C
After TC Reontre Lawrence PG 23 6'2'' 182 C+ B- A- A C- C
Steal of the draft. Lawrence fell right into the Timberwolves lap. He has similar ratings to Abdul Gaddy as a rookie.
GRADE: A+

#12 - Erik Swoope PF 6'9'' 257 22 B+ C C B+ B- C
After TC: Erik Swoope PF 22 6'9'' 257 B+ C C B+ B- B
No improvement, but Swoope looks to be able to contribute immediately. Don't fault the Contract Year Nets for taking him at 12.
GRADE: B
Orlando Magic
#17 - Miquan Patton PG 6'4'' 185 21 C B- B B- C B
After TC: Miquan Patton PG 21 6'4'' 185 C B- A- B+ C B

GRADE: A-
