He was a great player but there was always PG's better than him. I don't throw around the HOF lightly. Chris Paul, Brandon Jennings, & John Wall were always better than Deron each and ever year. Y ou're saying the 4th best PG in a generation would make the HOF? He's up there in ranks now because there aren't many players who have played as long as him. There are so many guys in the league who will surpass him. Also at least I post my reasoning and do some research before voting. I highly doubt a majority of the league does the same. um, yes? He's still elite in his own right, and has a MVP There is no arguing he wasn't a great player that anyone would have loved on their team but we're talking about the best of the best ALL TIME. He's not up there. HOF is for those guys who are the studs of studs.

Knocking him down because he isn't as good as a top 5 player ever like Hill is wack IMO. He has the #s and the accolades (all 3 MVPs) that should get him in. That same PG bias applies to Paul and any other PG that was a dog and Williams was still good enough to shine over those guys for at least 1 year. Good enough for me
