The second you drove your POS Hatchback off the lot it lost about 30% of the value you paid for it. That car will continue to lose it's value quite rapidly, I'd prefer a Honda, Toyota, or Nissan that looks nicer, runs better, and holds its value.

yes I am laughing about the #1 rated car in it's class. A car that for $28k I am getting all the options that aren't found on some $35k+ cars. I also will be getting 31 mpg city and 38 mpg highway when the price of gas is near $4. I am also buying a car for my tastes and wouldn't bash anyone's car purchase jsut for the sake of bashing especially when you've failed to even post what you car you drive.

You obviously know very little and probably have no idea what JD Power Associates is but Ford cars hold their values extremely well and this Focus is one of them.

You wouldn't bash anyone else's car purchase, yet you attack everybody including myself for little or no reason? Hard to believe. In fact you attack everyone (myself included) for little or no reason all the time. You posted a picture looking for feedback, I stated my opinion. I didn't want to lie and say it was a smart buy or a nice looking car. Maybe I elaborated on my truthful opinion too much... I drive a 1997 Honda Accord. Pretty standard car, I commute 40 minutes to work everyday so I need something relatively fuel efficient. Plan on either keeping the Accord and buying a truck as well, or selling/trading it in and upgrading to an Infiniti G35, Nissan Altima, or something of that nature.

If I had 28k to spend I wouldn't have bought a Hatchback, thats all I'm saying.

If I had 28k to spend I wouldn't have bought a Hatchback, thats all I'm saying. and you're obviously in the minority. Check the sales on Volkswagen GTI, Audi A3, Volvo C30, then get back to me until then don't try to argue about a subject you have little knowledge of.

Why do I need to do research before I say that I think a Ford Focus Hatchback is ugly and that there's a bunch of cars I'd rather spend 28 grand on?

I'm pretty sure if I spend hours researching cars... that Ford Focus Hatchback is going to have the same exact ugly appearance.
Unless your telling me that the more I research the car will change its outer appearance and not look disgusting...

one's personal preference on the looks of the car is not what's in question and if you look at my posts it's something that I have yet to argue because it's stupid .it's the fact that you stated Nissan and Toyota are better quality cars(which they are not), the fact that the Ford depreciates in value by "30%"(which you've still failed to let me know where you get such numbers from) and that "no one buys hatchbacks" yet Volkswagen GTIs, Volvo C30's, Audi A3s are the best selling cars in any class and all three are hatchbacks... shocking. if there was no market for hatchbacks why would Subaru make such a drastic change from this to this

www.kbb.com/new-cars/ford/focus/2012/resale-valueKBB is a pretty reliable source, I'm sure your familiar with it. They state a 36% value decrease after the first year. My guess of 30% wasn't far off, in fact I was giving you better than the statistics show.

Once again, I said your car is ugly and there is an abundance of cars I'd rather spend 28k on. It's a personal preference, if your happy with your purchase that's all that matters.
