But wouldn't them playing a legit top ten team help your argument? Like if Alabama or Stanford smashed them, then couldn't you say they were frauds? I don't understand why giving them a chance to prove themselves in a bowl game is so god awful.

It wouldn't prove nothing. Teams have let downs in bcs games all the time. Plus, how does a one month time frame to prepare for you opponent compare to all these other teams who plays solid opponents week to week?

Neutral field, both teams have the same amount of time to prepare.. I suppose most super bowl champs should only be determined how good they were by who they beat too..
Seriously Styro, Va Tech, the team who Boise beat AND lost to a tiny school have more of a right to play Stanford? Really? Come on man

Yes, they do. They play miami, fsu and solid teams week to week. They don't have a bunch of shit teams with one legitimate opponent going into the season. Va Tech is a better team. They obviously aren't the same team they were at the beginning.

You can say Miami and FSU are shit this year or mediocre or wtv. But those two are still better than any opponent boise st. played in conference. Even teams like nc. state and maryland are better than those shit teams in that conference.

Both teams were 3-1 against top 25. When Boise played cakewalk teams, they blew them out. (As they should.)
Va Tech lost to a team ten times worse than some of those "shitty Wac teams" AND lost to Boise. I find it insane someone who points and whines about how "its all about the championships and how you do in the end" compared to regular season success is now using that as a crutch to lean on
