I THOUGHT that the signings of Victor Martinez would help my Tigers.
Last year, we ran Magglio at the 3, Cabrera at the 4 and scrub by committee at the 5.
Figured by signing Martinez we could give insurance to Cabrera by resigning Magglio or even someone better like Werth or Dunn and batting them at the 5 and putting Martinez at 3.
We're not getting Werth or Dunn.
And the Red Sox want Magglio. FML.

Whether or not the Yanks get Crawford depends solely on what happens with Lee. Honestly, Gardner/Swish/Grandy is perfectly fine for the OF. I would rather see the money go towards starting pitching/bullpen.
My guess is the Nats were posturing with the 7 years offer, probably will back off to 6 and then the Yanks will overbid against anyone at 6 years. (sadly)
Crawford seems like a LAA signing to me

Yankees officially make an offer for Lee.
Plenty of sources are pretty sure Crawford is headed to the Angels but who knows.
